Every Bring Your Own Stone order here at Waystone begins with a rock that means something to someone. This agate is not just a highly sought-after stone, but it's also a little piece of the family's heritage.
It's a rare Holley Blue Agate, found on the land where our customer's grandparents had a homestead in Oregon. She sent it in to make jewelry for herself and the rest of the family, first two rings and a pair of earrings, and then 3 more pairs of earrings this year with this little chunk we had left, so we got 6 pieces in all out of this rock.
I know that all of us here at the studio are super jealous of this find. Obviously it's an incredibly beautiful stone, but I also love that this rock connects them to their past, especially since it's a rock that's only found in Oregon.
