Special Requests

Have a one‑of‑a‑kind design in mind for your stone that you haven’t seen on our site? We take special requests, so you can turn your rock, shell, or other material into exactly what you’ve been picturing.

What Counts As a Special Request?

1. New Jewelry Styles Made with Waystone Shapes

You like our signature Waystone stone shapes and settings, but want to use it for something new. We've turned Waystone stone shapes into bracelets, bolo ties, statement rings, and pieces with multiple stones.

2. Setting Organic Materials or Already‑Shaped Stones

Non-organic materials are best for the Waystone process. Shells, coral, teeth, pearls, wood, and other organic materials will require a special setting. Find out more about what materials will and won't work for our signature Waystone styles.

If your stone has already been cut or shaped elsewhere, we can design a custom setting to fit it perfectly—no need to alter what already makes it special.

3. Totally Custom Jewelry Designs

Have a vision that requires starting from scratch? We love that! These designs are brought to life by our in-house metalsmith who can design your jewelry with you.

This could include:

  • A unique stone shape
  • Decorative silversmithing
  • Incorporating several materials into your jewelry

We've carved rocks into custom shapes like hearts, moons, and crosses, and we're always open to new ideas.

Investment & Turnaround

We’re happy to work within your budget. As a general guideline, designing a new setting or shape for your stone typically costs in the $500 range, but costs vary depending on the complexity of the design, materials, and labor involved. We’ll always discuss your options with you before moving forward.

You can expect your jewelry within 8-12 weeks after work begins, but this also depends on the complexity of your request.

How It Works

1. Submit your request with as much detail as you can (ideas, sketches, and inspiration photos are welcome).

2. We’ll review your idea and follow up with questions or suggestions.

3. You’ll receive a design direction and price estimate.

4. Once approved, we begin crafting your piece.
